This cantata, composed in 1780, is the third in a set of four secular cantatas appearing between 1778 and 1780. Composed in Stockhom, this cantata was written for Lovisa Augusti, lead singer of the Stockholm Royal Theatre of which Kraus was Kapellmaster. No dedication is evidenced in the source material for this edition, the 1801 copy by Frederik Samuel Silverstolpe.
