The eleven toccatas from Frescobaldi's Secondo Libro , originally printed in 1627, are presented here in a text based on the definitive edition of 1637. Four of the toccatas are clearly intended for organ. In the case of the toccatas Quinta and Sesta , however, the possibility of performance on the harpsichord or organ without pedals, as suggested by the composer, is possible.
