When I think of the hymn "Rock of Ages", I picture in my mind an old black and white movie set in the 1800's with "Country Folk" going to a "Country Church" and singing "Rock of Ages" accompanied by a terrible sounding organ. and don't forget the warbly soprano. Do you think of something similar. Well, when my church choir director wanted to sing this rarely sung hymn straight out of the hymnal for a special meeting, I cringed a little inside.
