This lovely work uses a text of Josiah Conder and uses a most beguiling melody as its basis. After a short organ introduction the first verse is given over to the women. s voices mainly duetting in thirds and sixths. The second verse develops this idea further using all four voices. This is followed by a brief coda that fades away as the organ concludes the piece. The vocal parts are most gratifying to sing and the organ part is discreetly supportive. This anthem would be appropriate as an introit or during Communion.

Cette belle œuvre utilise un texte de Josiah Conder et utilise une mélodie plus séduisante que sa base. Après une introduction d'organe court le premier verset est consacrée aux femmes. s voix en duo principalement en tierces et sixtes. Le deuxième verset développe cette idée en utilisant davantage les quatre voix. Il est suivi par une brève coda, qui s'évanouit quand l'organe conclut la pièce. Les parties vocales sont plus gratifiant de chanter et la partie d'orgue est discrètement favorable. Cet hymne serait approprié comme un introït ou pendant Communion.
