Recounting the events of that first Palm Sunday, this colorful anthem explodes with anticipation and energy. Like a scene from a musical, the anthem begins with excited townspeople asking one another what they know about the teachings and miracles of Jesus. Suddenly, Jesus appears coming down the street surrounded by a large crowd of followers. Here, the anthem takes on the feel of a noble and stately procession as the King of Glory enters Jerusalem. Easy to sing and memorize, this piece makes an ideal selection for older children's choirs or a combined choir of younger and older children.
