Originally composed for a dozen pianos, 'Minuten-Tristan' presents the highlights of Wagner's monumental work in a daring tour de force of no more than five minutes, bringing amazing things to light. The Tristan chord shows its true harmonic calling in the tango, while the opening bars lead to a lively ragtime and the tragic Liebestod occurs in bright three-four time. This piece is a witty parodistic tribute, full of humour and affectionate mockery, to the famous composer. Includes 2 scores.
