ISBN 978-1-877564-05-5. Parlor Music is a dance piece with clear references to Astor Piazzola and mid-twentieth century jazz, among other things. There are two predominant moods in the piece. In the first half there is melancholy and introspection, like with the woman in the beautiful drawing by Louisa Varalta by the same title. Here the dance movement becomes at times almost completely internalized, particularly where the vibraphone with its evocative pitch bends and the accompanying music draw the listener inwards. At other times the soft dance rhythms, instead of drawing the dancer on her feet only help to add to the loneliness and stillness of the moment. In the second half, there is a very short musical 'invitation' and the dance suddenly begins. It is still driven by a manic energy rather than pleasure and it ends as abruptly as it began.

Il ya deux modes prédominants dans la pièce. Dans la première moitié, il est mélancolique et d'introspection, comme avec la femme dans le beau dessin de Louisa Varalta par le même titre. Voici le mouvement de la danse devient parfois presque entièrement internalisés, en particulier lorsque le vibraphone avec ses variations de hauteur évocateurs et la musique accompagnant tirent l'auditeur vers l'intérieur. À d'autres moments les rythmes de danse doux, au lieu de tirer la danseuse sur ses pieds seulement aider à ajouter à la solitude et la tranquillité du moment. Dans la seconde moitié, il ya très peu de «invitation» musicale et la danse se met soudain. Il est toujours tirée par une énergie maniaque plutôt que de plaisir et elle se termine aussi brusquement qu'elle avait commencé.
