The name Zebra Crossing comes from the Piano part, the left hand plays mostly black notes whilst the right hand plays mostly white notes, and towards the end of the piece the hands cross over, hence the name Zebra Crossing. Meanwhile a joyful swing Tenor Saxophone line sings and swoops over the top. Zebra Crossing was composed by Andy Scott and dedicated to Romilly Whiteley , who premiered Zebra Crossing at Woldingham ISS 2003 with pianist Tim Carey. Watch this performance here.
