Chasing Angels is a reflection on lucid dreaming in sleep. The awareness of dreaming, being able to 'edit' vivid dreams and yet not able to fall truly unconscious, is followed by frustration upon waking to feel an exhaustion surpassing that of the night before. With each night fatigue accumulates, making the end of the day a time of dread. The idea behind the title is a psychological shift from a negative anxiety of 'chasing demons away', to 'chasing angels'. In other words, the hope that the positive will happen, rather than a fear that the negative will. This battle between thoughts appears in the contrast of consonant & dissonant melodies. Loosely programmatic, the piece has three main sections. twilight approach, visions, and heavy dawn.

Chasing Anges est une réflexion sur le rêve lucide dans le sommeil. La prise de conscience de rêver, d'être capable de "Modifier" rêves intenses et pourtant pas vraiment capable de tomber inconscient, est suivie par la frustration au réveil de se sentir un épuisement surpasser celle de la veille. Avec chaque nuit la fatigue se accumule, rendant la fin de la journée un moment d'effroi. L'idée derrière le titre est un changement psychologique d'une anxiété négative de «chasser les démons loin», aux «anges chassant». En d'autres termes, l'espoir que le positif va se produire, plutôt que la crainte que la volonté négative. Cette bataille entre les pensées apparaît dans le contraste de consonne.
