Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.575805).This is a bittersweet duet for flute and guitar in a jaunty 6/8 time but which continually varies from major to minor. It was originally an "ecology song", which I wrote in 1976, but this year I made it into an instrumental piece. Discussions with various flautists finally led to this preferred title ("Last picnic at Blue Lake" and the French equivalent "Dernier Pique-Nique au Lac Bleu") The pdf file contains the score and separate parts. The audio sample is an electronic preview.
