It is in three movements, the first is chorale-like and calls for a rich tone together with excellent lyrical interpretation - a fine opportunity to bring the romantic element to the fore. The second movement is a waltz and great fun for the player(s) and the audience. The third movement gives the soloist the opportunity to show his or her musicianship and is much loved by audiences. For the soloist and pianist this is not a technically difficult piece to play - but it provides an excellent opportunity to interpret the music and draw the audience in.
