For a quickly modulating soundscape, this masterwork evokes a certain lasting quality that enchants and delights the listener. There are various neo-Romantic influences here. My only criticism is that the piece's very monumentality can get in the way of its fluidity, thus rendering it more collage-like. Fortunately, your imagination makes up for this alterable criticism.
